If the machine stays with fans going and all, it may be on POS, and switching to STR may help. i'm also switching back to "Balanced" on power settings cuz Intel Speedstep wasn't working with High Performance. I've noticed that whenever the computer sleeps, whether it's due to inactivity (power settings) or if I manually put it to sleep, it crashes. If the HDD goes to sleep it wont wake up, till after restart.It is just one of many issues it can be. It's my boot drive. This is mostly a hardware problem plus a windows features software undocumented on this situation.
Is that your boot drive? When you sleep the computer, which occurs? I catch a flicker of a blue screen - I assume a BSoD, but it's only up for an instant, then everything shuts off. When I wake the computer, I can see the machine turn on and start up (LED fans light up) but the monitor stays black.
Share Can't find your answer ? It seems unlikely that it would be on Windows 7's end if only because I haven't had a chance to really do anything with Windows beyond installing the OS last night. In Power Option select Change plan settings on where the PC is set at (Balanced or Power Saver) 3. Power on Suspend is where the system maintains full power, but the BIOS can down-grade the power usage.
