The following research and development works are of significant importance to the Academy: Science School “Laser navigation in water transport” headed by Professor Savelyev V.G., DSc. The Academy has got sports facilities, three gyms, water-sports facilities in the settlement Vodniky 20 km away from Moscow. The letter from the President of the Association Council confirms the fact that the Academy is now a full member of EDINNA and has started cooperation with this organization. The Academy has got dorms which are home for more than 800 students.
In 2012-2014 some students and post-graduate students successfully completed a course of training at the Department of Arctic Technologies: Letter of Intent between the University Centre in Svalbard and MSAWT Invitation Students can join different teams in 12 sports at the Academy such as basketball, volleyball, indoor soccer, cross country skiing, gymnastics, boxing, table tennis and shaping. In March 2015 an Agreement on Cooperation with the Norwegian Russian Chamber of Commerсe « Entrepreneurship Program – Young Entrepreneurs» was signed. Classes are conducted in five teaching blocks.
At present more than 49 students from Ukraine, Belorussia, Greece, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Moldova are studying at the Academy.
