Lynn Hershman - Hershmanlandia

Check out Hershmanlandia. Lynn Hershman Leeman was just interviewed on RU Sirius Radio recently. She’s a bay area artist who does surveilance related art, among other things, and for 35 years has been creating cyber-inspired art. Take her Cyber-Roberta project which involved the creation of a virtual person (acted out by various artists over her lifetime) who lived and explored in the SF area… She is a multimedia artist who started out in the early 70’s where clearly the art world had not acknowledged or accepted computer based art.
