Perhaps the biggest coverup of the last few years, the downing street memo seems to be revealing for all to see that the whole premise for invading Iraq was falsified.

As I recall the news media was covering the ramp up to war, and the public wasn’t buying it. It was a very unpopular move, and after many months of failing to build up support, the WMD argument seemed to materialize out of thin air. With no substantial evidence to prove or deny this, it seemed obvious nontheless that it had been fabricated. Otherwise why not mention it at the outset, as obviously it was convincing enough to everyone. The downing street memo reveals all the details.
