horrific faces of meth

Posted by admin on Jan 30 2005 | Uncategorized

Despite these horrific faces of meth I still support drug legalization. People should be allowed to be this dumb. As everyone knows by now, the big mess over Vioxx proves that licit drugs can be as dangerous. Drugs in general are bad-news IMHO…

english grammar for the hardcore

Posted by admin on Jan 28 2005 | Uncategorized

Many of you native English speakers might think you have a good grasp on grammar. But take this test and it will put you in your place. I only got 24 out of 34, and I thought it was my strong suit. Anyway, I avoid those ambiguous grammar areas that they really beat you up on. The first few questions lull you into a false sense of security, I’m telling you now. For the real diehards, here’s the punctuation & grammar test.

year of the smiling cock

Posted by admin on Jan 28 2005 | Uncategorized

The Chinese New Year is upon us, and it’s a time where we should all think about the happy cock. This is a really great site, and yes, it’s work-safe. You’ll learn about short + long necked ones, and be reminded that as long as you’re not lazy, the year of the cock can be quite a good one!

The Mind Hacks Book a great website. There’s an article featuring a number of cases of people having orgasms triggered by the strangest events, including a woman who has an epileptic seisure when she brushes her teeth which then causes her to orgasm. The article talks all about sexuality research, and the lack of understanding about how orgasm affects the mind.

eat down Freeman Alley

Posted by admin on Jan 23 2005 | Uncategorized

So a little known alley off Rivington called Freeman Alley has been home to artist Jimmy Wright for almost 20 years. He’s managed to get the alley back on the map, and now there’s even a clandestine little restaurant called Freeman’s.

Doctor Who lovers can turn to this Wikipedia page for lots of tidbits on Doctor Who, including the new TV show logo, history, and lots more. I don’t care what y’all say about Daleks and stairs, or any of you unbelieving heathens who don’t appreciate cool monsters, and evil villains terrorizing the universe… whatever you say Doctor Who is still cool!

a cactus with human hair

Posted by admin on Jan 18 2005 | Uncategorized

The universe just gets stranger. There is a “transgenic” project which is doing the reverse of what most fear in genetic engineering. That is they’re taking the human genetic information and mixing it with a cactus.

frequent flier conspiracy

Posted by admin on Jan 13 2005 | Uncategorized

While the media news swirls with stories of frequent flier miles becoming the worlds largest currencies, doubts remain. As they say, you never get something for nothing. Most people find it hard to see a problem with free plane trips. But behind the scenes there is the usual marketing + sales tactics at work.

video-phone for the masses

Posted by admin on Jan 13 2005 | Uncategorized

This is a pretty cool development. Voice over IP is morphing, and maturing into a Video Telephony technology, and apparently there are Video Conferencing centers popping up in places like Queens, where immigrants (or anyone for that matter) can talk to friends and family around the world.
Here’s a non-subscription link to the NYT story.

A Buddhist is someone who suppresses his/her emotions(emotions arise from
the Process of Interaction) and try to reach the absolute.
A Taoist is someone who interacts by not interacting.
A Shamanist is someone who thinks only a few can interact.
An animist is someone who interacts with everything.

JINGISM - neurons, consciousness, time + space

Posted by admin on Jan 07 2005 | Uncategorized

crack pot perhaps

neurons interact with space and time. sensory inputs interact with present
memory (present space time). it’s possible for neurons to interact with
other parts of space time.
neurons can syphon through random (present) structures of memory. neurons
can also syphone memories of structured time and space (past/future)

what is memory. memory is a form of the process of interaction.

there’s no reincarnation. but we can reprogram our mind to relive parts of
somebody elses past. our neurons can tap into different parts of the
structured past. dejavu.

start the year off right - loompanics reading

Posted by admin on Jan 07 2005 | Uncategorized

I’ve always been a fan of Loompanics Ltd, because they publish with reckless abandon! So with the I recommend ordering a free catalog which comes with free monthly supplements of articles which are great reads, and can also be found on the web. Stuff like The New Conspiracy Reader, or Liberty for Women or better still The Empire Has No Clothes!

JINGISM - all things are alive & conscious

Posted by admin on Jan 07 2005 | Uncategorized

All things are alive and conscious.

The things which are “more” conscious(alive) usually interact more
frequent than the ones dont. A human being interacts more with it’s
surroundings then a rock. but that’s only in our sense of time and space.
it might take a rock a million years to interact with something human can
do in one second.
