failed marriage rates due to feminist meme?

Posted by admin on Mar 31 2004 | Uncategorized

I don’t know if “Carey Roberts” the author is a women, or if it matters. I don’t know if I even agree with all the ideas here. But I will say the piece made me think about some things, so it’s worth a look. Women Lose When Feminists Bash.

naughty Rather’s been

Posted by admin on Mar 27 2004 | Uncategorized

Interesting piece on Dan Rather. I never knew the guy was this radical, but apparently he’s tried Heroin and LSD to write about it, and has enjoyed other uppers in the form of juice when he was working day in and day out after 9/11.

tiny UAV’s

Posted by admin on Mar 27 2004 | Uncategorized

Israel has developed Unmanned Arial Vehicles which are so small a soldier can carry them in a backpack, and fly them through a window. We’ve talked about drones before, and I still wonder what the implication will be for domestic surveillance. In Brazil they had no idea…

subway systems compared

Posted by admin on Mar 18 2004 | Uncategorized

This interesting site compares subways systems of the world as line drawings. Apparently NYC is one of the biggest. Of course all this may depend on definitions. Which train systems are included, etc. I mean PATH isn’t included in NYC’s for instance. Or perhaps you could say underground systems, but a lot of NYC’s is not underground. I guess it depends on one authority controlling it, but that definition could get messy too…

How do you guage buzz in NYC? Coolfer tells you how to tell if there’s “not much buzz”, “some”, “definite”, “lotsa”, “namedropping” buzz, and finally “the buzz is over” which is when it’s reported in the NYT. Pretty funny.

cracking up - responding to the FCC

Posted by admin on Mar 09 2004 | Uncategorized

In response to the recent FCC crack down, here’s your chance to crack up. Sign a petition…

In the words of our immortal r3v0luti0n@ry leader:
“I’m sure by now most of you are aware of what’s going on with the media these
days. Ever since Janet Jackson’s boob was on tv for all of a split second, the
FCC has been cracking down too severely. While I agree that her naked breast is
not appropriate fare for prime time tv, I don’t think it gives the FCC the
excuse to go on a witch hunt and censor everything that’s not family friendly.
Especially since explict violence is “suitable” to view and yet political
messages are not. Check this petition out and sign it if it’s something you
agree with.”
